"Won't Get Fooled Again" is a song by the English rock band the Who, written by Pete Townshend. It was released as a single in June , reaching the top 10 in the UK, while the full eight-and-a-half-minute version appears as the final track on the band's album Who's Next, released that August.. Townshend wrote the song as a closing number of the Lifehouse project, and the lyrics Studio: Rolling Stones Mobile, Stargroves, .

Birdman_euston from London, Uk The only song on my 'personal top' that 'grew' on me more because of the (prescient) lyrics than the music. I still don't like the interminable 'prog rock'-style synthesiser solo but the.

Pete Townshend seemed to be having similar feelings in as he was recording what would become the album Who's Next, and the set's final song, "Won't Get Fooled Again," seems to be a more thoughtful -- and more cynical -- variation on Lennon's statement.

Who's Next is the fifth studio album by English rock band the etnirutadire.piebeuastarenoxadetupaptothatmo.co developed from the aborted Lifehouse project, a multi-media rock opera written by the group's Pete Townshend as a follow-up to the band's album etnirutadire.piebeuastarenoxadetupaptothatmo.co project was cancelled owing to its complexity and to conflicts with Kit Lambert, the band's manager, but the group salvaged some of the songs, without the connecting.

General CommentThis song, right after the short organ solo after "we don't get fooled again, don't get fooled again, no no", that drum solo and then the screeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaam is PURE etnirutadire.piebeuastarenoxadetupaptothatmo.co makes me feel like jumping up and letting all my stress out with a great big giant scream! This is one of my favorite moments in any song.

Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again The change, it had to come We knew it all along We were liberated from the fold, that's all And the world looks just the same And history ain't changed 'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution.
