The CD edition of Flash included two bonus tracks, "Nighthawks" and "Back on the Streets", which were originally released as B-sides. Another track from the album's recording sessions, " Wild Thing " (a cover of The Troggs), was released only as a promo single and never on the album, [12] but would later be featured on Beck's compilation Genre: Pop rock, AOR, hard rock, instrumental rock.

Dec 22,  · Easily the worst Beck album. And this from a fan. This album is actually a useful compendium of all mid's rock and glam cliché, as it hits every note from overwrought hair ballads to "gospel" (desecrating Curtis Mayfield in the process), the "we'll use keyboards, but make them sound like guitars!", and DX7 pads all wrapped in saccharine digital reverb and over-produced EQ sheen that /5(97).

This is an album rarely featured in any Jeff Beck discography. His collaboration with Nile Rodgers is something Beck just doesn't talk about. It contains a definitive version of Curtis Mayfield's People Get Ready with Rod Stewart singing as well as he ever has. The rest of the tracks are very dated and sound like b-movie soundtracks now/5(63).

Geoffrey Arnold Beck (born 24 June ) is an English rock guitarist. He is one of the three noted guitarists to have played with the Yardbirds (the other two being Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page).Beck also formed the Jeff Beck Group and with Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice, he formed Beck, Bogert & Appice.. Much of Beck's recorded output has been instrumental, with a focus on innovative sound.
